Managing director Bryan Musson holds a Design 2 License that recognises competency across Category 1 and Category 2 builds.Createus has had an active design role in many public amenity builds for councils and central government agencies.
We take a practical approach to every project with a focus on build form, functionality, use of materials, budgets and timelines. We offer specialist expertise and experience in new design and retrofit of accessibility features for housing for the elderly and people with a disability.
Bryan Musson
Director / Designer
Multi skilled designer with over 40 years in the architectural profession including 33 years as a self-employed architectural designer, Bryan has completed hundreds of new homes and alterations plus completed a variety of commercial and industrial projects.
He has received a number of ADNZ regional design awards for his work. Bryan can see the advantages and added value that an architectural designer can bring to a project by preparing high quality design and documentation specific to the project.
As an ACC and Ministry of Health Design Consultant Bryan has significant experience developing house modifications for persons with disabilities. This contract is long standing, since late 2009 – providing architectural design, documentation, tendering & project management services.
Zach Gabrielle
Architectural Technician
With 10+ Years of experience in the construction & design sectors, several of which were in frame and truss manufacturing which have given Zach a great understanding of structural and aesthetic design aspects to bring projects to life. Zach has an early interest in Ancient Greek, Roman, Egyptian, and Japanese architecture.
“I enjoy the craftsmanship, detail, and beauty that these old structures have and how they stand the test of time in this ever-changing construction industry that is constantly evolving to what we do today and into the future.”

Joost Wientjes
Architectural Technician
Joost is a qualified architectural technician and Licensed Building Practitioner (Design Level 2) with over a decade of experience. The focus of his work experience is on residential and light commercial buildings projects.
“I particularly enjoy collaborating with clients on renovations and alterations projects, as they often require creative solutions within the constraints of existing structures or sites.”
Outside of work, Joost enjoys DIY projects and exploring the outdoors with his wife and their adopted dog in our self-built campervan.

Vicki Musson
Office Administrator
Vicki is the friendly face you see when you first walk into the Createus Group office. She is a worker bee and is in-charge of running the day-to-day operations ranging from general administration and answering phone calls to providing finance support and preparing meetings. Outside of work, Vicki occasionally works as a personal trainer. She takes pride in keeping the team in tip-top shape and gains a lot of satisfaction from interacting with clients.

About design license practitioners
ll license holders are required to work within their competence and skill level and seek advice when required. In addition all license holders are required to attend seminars and complete activities to keep up to date with the building code, building materials and design technologies which is all about staying on top of the game. Licenses are renewed annually and evidence of seminars and activities completed must be presented.
The Licensed Building Practitioner (LBP) Scheme was introduced by the Building Act 2004. Its purpose is to:

Ensure that buildings are built right the first time;

Improve the quality of homes and building in New Zealand;

Promote, recognize and support professional skills and behaviour in the building sector;

Increase and maintain consumer confidence in the building industry.

All Licensed Building Practitioners are:

Licensed to a class that sets a minimum standard of competence;

Identified on a public register and license cards;
-
Accountable to the Building Practitioners’ Board.
